My “Diet”…

I don’t like to use the word “diet” but because Webster describes a “diet” as food and drink considered in terms of its qualities, composition, and its effects on health I guess I can use it for this particular topic :)

Many people ask me: What are you doing? What diet are you on? And in all honesty I can only respond by saying: NO DIET! JUST EATING RIGHT & EXERCISING MORE! Isn’t that the magical answer you all love to hear?? Lol!

Here’s an example of a typical food diary for me:

Sunday:
B: Herbalife Formula 1 shake w/ protein; Herbalife raspberry tea w/ mango aloe
S: Pretzels/Almonds
L: Homemade chicken and veggie soup w/ tea
S: Sherbet mango (1 serving)
D: B: Herbalife Formula 1 shake w/ protein

Monday:
B: Herbalife Formula 1 shake w/ protein; Herbalife raspberry tea w/ mango aloe
S: Lowfat yogurt parfait w/ fruits and granola
L: Subway oven roasted chicken 6” (no mayo) loaded with veggies
S: Fruit salad w/ tea
D: Herbalife Formula 1 shake w/ protein and fruit
S: 100 cal fudge brownies

Tuesday:
B: Herbalife Formula 1 shake w/ protein; Herbalife raspberry tea w/ mango aloe
S: Apple & 100 cal. string cheese
L: Bistro Cesar salad with extra chicken breast added
S: 100 cal. White cheddar popcorn/ carrots w/ Herbalife tea
D: Herbalife Formula 1 shake w/ protein

Wednesday:
B: Herbalife Formula 1 shake w/ protein; Herbalife raspberry tea w/ mango aloe
S: Low fat Yogurt parfait with fruit & almonds
L: Chicken breast & Salad
S: Herbalife raspberry tea/ Banana/ baked chips
D: Herbalife Formula 1 shake w/ protein
S: Sherbet Mango (1 serving)

Thursday:
B: Herbalife Formula 1 shake w/ protein; Herbalife raspberry tea w/ mango aloe
S: Fruit salad
L: Herbalife Formula 1 shake w/ protein; Herbalife raspberry tea
S: Small salad
D: Tilapia, small portion of rice & loaded with veggies

Friday:
B: 2 egg whites/ wheat toast/ chicken breast
S: 100 cal snake w/ Herbalife raspberry tea w/ aloe
L: Herbalife Formula 1 shake w/ protein and fruit
S: Small salad w/ tea
D: Formula 1 shake w/ protein
S: Peanut butter crackers

Saturday:
B: Cereal w/ skim milk
S: Herbalife raspberry tea w/ mango aloe/ fruit salad
L: B: Herbalife Formula 1 shake w/ protein
S: Herbalife raspberry tea w/ mango aloe/ small salad
D: Homemade hamburgers

Breakfast Under 300 Calories

We all know the saying: “Breakfast is the most important meal of the day” but it’s true! You have to eat breakfast in order to get your body to function correctly. Would you not feed your pet before leaving the house to go to work? SO WHY IGNORE YOUR OWN BODY??? 

Here’s seven breakfast items under three hundred calories you can use to get your day going and take you through the week! :)

Waffle Lover:

2 Whole Grain Waffles + Low Fat Fruit flavored yogurt = 259 calories

Bacon Lover:

2 slices of Reduced Calorie Bread + 2 slices of Turkey Bacon = 240 calories

Oatmeal Lover:

1 packet of Quaker Apple & Cinnamon instant oatmeal = 130 calories

Burrito Lover:

1 Whole Wheat Tortilla + 2 scrambled egg whites + 1 oz of low fat cheese + 2 tsp. of salsa = 187 calories

Smoothie Lover:

4 oz of Fat Free Milk + 4 oz of Low Fat Yogurt + 4 oz of Berries = 236 calories

Cereal Lover:

1 cup of Honey Nut Cheerios with Skim Milk = 258 calories
